Wood Stain Cabinets/Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Long Beach – Redondo and 2nd

Customer bought this house and wanted to make some changes. They wanted to go from the oak door to a black door. There were red corbels and a red line of trim on the flashing. They wanted the corbels to match the window trim and the red trim to be white as well. Small cosmetic changes like this can make a huge difference to the entry way and the impression that it gives.

Individually sanding and prepping each cabinet door in order to stain it black from the original oak finish. The customer was very clear that they wanted it dark but not too dark with very little of the woodgrain showing. Several doors came out darker than the customer wanted so these were stripped back and re-stained to satisfaction.

The interior white paint of the cabinets is well protected by thorough masking. The floors and countertops are well masked from the dark stain as well.

These slides show the finished job but don’t communicate the satisfaction of the customer. They were very, very happy. If you have an oak kitchen this may give you an idea of the possibilities that stain can can offer. Other popular colors of stain include mahogany, ebony, redwood, maple, espresso, java oak and cherry.
